Introduction

Athletic taping is an important skill for physiotherapists and sports therapists working in amateur or professional sporting environments. Taping is a useful adjunct to other therapy techniques which can be used to treat and rehabilitate an athlete. This course aims to enable candidates with the skills to tape efficiently and effectively.

Delivery & Assessment:

This workshop focuses on interactive teaching methods with a strong emphasis on practical skills. Important theory concepts will be delivered using a variety of engaging and fun methods, and practical skills will be delivered in a safe and friendly environment. There will be a lot of demonstration and practice time during this workshop, and participants are encouraged to act as a models as well as practicing skills. With this in mind, participants are asked to dress appropriately.

Trainer Information:

Sarah combines 16 years of teaching experience with practical sports therapy experience to deliver a high quality teaching and learning experience. Sarah is a university senior lecturer in Sports Therapy and delivers across a number of modules. She also has a wealth of experience of working on pitch side in a variety of sports and age groups, from youth through to professional levels. The combination of this experience combines quality delivery with hands on taping experience.

James has extensive experience of working in elite and high performance sport . James has a wealth of experience of working in multi sport settings, across all levels. His taping skills are both efficient and highly effective and this experience contributes to the quality of this workshop.
