Introduction

Our First Aid courses are specifically designed to meet the needs of either sporting or workplace based candidates. This half day Basic Life Support (BLS) course focuses on important first aid skills and applies them in a context relevant to the candidates. The course equips candidates with the knowledge and skills required to deal with a range of first aid scenarios but focuses on basic life support skills. By the end of the course the candidates will confidently be able to assess a scenario and select and apply appropriate first aid skills.

Awarding Body:

This course is a nationally accredited qualification which is awarded by CSG. The Course is recognised by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) and valid for 3 years.

Delivery & Assessment:

This course focuses on interactive teaching methods with a strong emphasis on practical skills. Important theory concepts will be delivered using a variety of engaging and fun methods, and practical skills will be delivered in a safe and friendly environment. There will be a lot of demonstration and practice time during this workshop, so participants are asked to wear loose fittings and comfortable clothing.

This is a competency based qualification so assessment will be on-going throughout the half day. There will be no pressure for candidates to pass an exam, simply show that they have the skills and competencies to deliver safe and effective basic life support.
