Introduction

This course is aimed at health care professionals, who work with acute injuries. The aim is to equip you with the knowledge and skills required to assess and identify acute injuries, and provide appropriate and effective immediate injury management. Knowing when and where to refer an acute injury can be a difficult decision, so this course will provide you with a step by step process to ensure you feel equipped to deal with a range of sporting injuries.

Delivery & Assessment:

This workshop focuses on interactive teaching methods with a strong emphasis on practical skills. Important theory concepts will be delivered using a variety of engaging and fun methods, and practical skills will be delivered in a safe and friendly environment. Participants are asked to wear shorts or loose fittings clothes which will allow them to take part in the practical sessions.

Trainer Information:

Sarah combines 16 years of teaching experience with practical sports therapy experience to deliver a high quality teaching and learning experience. Sarah is a university senior lecturer in Sports Therapy and delivers across a number of clinical subjects on a Sports Therapy degree programme. She also has a wealth of experience of working on pitch side in a variety of sports and therefore is well equipped to advise on injury presentation and management.
