James Stevenson
Founder
James is an experienced Sports Therapist and Soft Tissue Therapist with over 15 years’ experience working in elite and high-performance sport. His career has included supporting teams and organisations such as Exeter Chiefs, Forest Green Rovers, the English Institute of Sport, and the Intensive Rehabilitation Unit (IRU) at Bisham Abbey during the build-up to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Today, James brings this extensive expertise to The Prime Practice, where he now oversees the day-to-day running of the business and is dedicated to helping clients move better, feel better, and perform at their best.
Kayla Kaip
Sports Therapist / Strength & Conditioning Specialist
Kayla Kaip holds a Master’s degree in Strength & Conditioning and is passionate about helping people move and perform better. She brings a dynamic, evidence-based approach to injury recovery and performance therapy, specialising in the treatment of shoulder, knee, and back injuries. Kayla works with athletes and active individuals from all walks of life, supporting them in achieving their goals.
Certified in dry needling and cupping therapy, Kayla combines these techniques with targeted strength programming to accelerate recovery and improve long-term outcomes. She also leads The Prime Practice’s Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) Program—a progressive training pathway designed to support athletes at every stage of their careers, from youth through to elite levels.
Originally from Canada, Kayla moved to the UK in 2018 and brings an international perspective to her practice.

- Shoulder, knee, and back injury rehabilitation
- Dry needling and cupping therapy
- Strength programming for recovery and performance
- Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD)

- She has the quirky ability to walk on her toes.
- Away from the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her energetic and loyal dog, Stanley.
Callum Warren
Sports Therapist
Callum is a Sports Therapist whose motivation comes from helping people recover, regain their abilities, and rebuild the confidence to live free from pain or injury. He has a strong passion for late-stage, sport-specific rehabilitation, as well as education empowering people with the knowledge and tools to understand and take control of their own injuries.
Through his work, Callum has treated a wide range of clients, from individuals working to regain everyday movement, to those aiming to return to work, as well as youth and senior athletes striving to compete again at an elite sporting level.
Specialist areas include:
- Injury rehabilitation (particularly knees and ankles)
- Late-stage sport-specific rehab and sports performance for return to play
- Hands-on soft tissue and mobilisation treatments
Callum can be found at Wycliffe College during the week, at The Prime Practice clinic in Stroud on Monday and Wednesday evenings, or pitch-side at sporting events across Gloucestershire.
Facts about Callum:
- He holds an HND in engineering so he can fix both joints and cars.
- Outside the clinic, he is a keen rugby player (though he promises his catching skills don’t reflect his treatment skills!)
Tom Tidy
Sports Therapist
Tom graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2022 with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy. He immediately immersed himself in the professional environment, continuing to learn on the job and developing his practical skills from strength to strength. Tom has experience working pitch-side within private schools and elite sporting academies, including Birmingham City FC and Gloucester Rugby. Alongside this, he enjoys treating patients clinically, offering injury assessment, treatment, and sports massage.
In addition to his clinical and pitch-side work, Tom holds a PHICIS Trauma qualification, an Athletic Taping qualification, and leads weekly circuit training classes on Wednesday evenings at The Prime Practice in Stroud.
With experience across a wide variety of sports, Tom thrives on adapting to the demands of each environment and prides himself on being a valuable asset to any team or setting.

- Pitch-side support in elite sporting environments
- Circuit training and group fitness

Georgia Burrluck
Sports Therapist / Pilates Instructor
Georgia graduated in 2020 and has since built her career around helping people move better, recover faster, and stay active. With a passion for both clinical and pitch-side care, she splits her time between teaching clinical Pilates, delivering hands-on therapy, and providing first aid support on the sidelines.
Her go-to treatment tool is myofascial cupping, which she uses to help clients release tension and restore mobility. Whether in the clinic or at the edge of the pitch, Georgia is dedicated to keeping people performing at their best.

- Clinical Pilates instruction
- Myofascial cupping therapy
- Hands-on injury treatment and recovery
- Pitch-side first aid and support

Ray Fielding
Physiotherapist CSP / HCPC
Ray has always aspired to be a physiotherapist, though his journey into the profession took a roundabout route. His first career in software development sharpened his problem-solving skills, but it was a serious knee injury and the physiotherapy that followed which inspired him to retrain. Motivated by the care he received, Ray committed to offering the same support to others.
Passionate about the ever-evolving nature of physiotherapy, Ray values the way new research continually shapes the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. He is dedicated to staying up to date with the latest evidence and applying it in practice. At The Prime Practice, he is part of a team that shares this commitment to delivering the highest quality of care.
For Ray, treatment is about more than just exercises it’s about building trust, helping people understand their condition, and making the process engaging and enjoyable. He uses a combination of approaches, from Pilates and sports-specific exercise to hands-on techniques, ensuring sessions remain varied, effective, and focused on achieving long-term results.

- His first career was in software development, where he developed strong problem-solving skills.

Zuzanna Mirowska
Sports Therapist / Pilates Instructor
Zuzanna is a qualified Sports Therapist and Pilates Instructor who works across both clinical and pitch-side environments. She supports a wide range of clients, from children to adults, helping them recover from injury and return to the activities they love.
She specialises in hands-on treatments such as joint mobilisations and soft tissue therapy, with a particular interest in lower back pain, knee injuries, and lower limb rehabilitation. Whether working pitch-side in rugby or football, or guiding recovery in the clinic, Zuzanna is passionate about delivering tailored, effective care from injury through to full return to play or daily function.
Alongside therapy, Zuzanna leads Pilates classes and strength & conditioning sessions, using movement to build resilience and long-term performance.

- Lower back pain and knee injury rehabilitation
- Lower limb rehabilitation
- Pilates and strength & conditioning for recovery and resilience

Hannah Maynard
Sports Therapist / Pilates Instructor
Hannah graduated as a Sports Therapist from the University of Gloucestershire in 2018 and has since gained over five years of clinical experience in injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation. Over this time, she has developed a strong passion for rehabilitation and Pilates, using both to treat injuries and restore correct movement patterns.
Alongside her clinical work, Hannah has supported Kings Gloucester sports teams over the past four years, as well as Gloucestershire County Rugby U18s and U20s for the past three seasons.
Hannah adapts her sessions to meet the needs of each client, whether they are injured athletes aiming to return to sport or individuals struggling with day-to-day activities. Outside of the clinic, she has a real passion for teaching Matwork and Reformer Pilates and takes pride in seeing the positive effects it brings to her clients.

- Injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation
- Pilates-based rehabilitation (Matwork and Reformer)
- Correcting movement patterns
- Pitch-side sports support
Facts about Hannah:
- She has worked with Kings Gloucester sports teams and Gloucestershire County Rugby U18s and U20s.

Tasha Pawley
Sports Therapist / Pilates Instructor
Tasha is a qualified Sports Therapist (BSc) with a passion for movement, recovery, and wellbeing. With her background in performance pathways as a netballer, she understands the frustrations that come with setbacks an experience that helps her connect with clients on a personal level.
Working across both clinical and pitch-side environments, Tasha has experience supporting grassroots through to elite-level sport across all ages. In the clinic, she specialises in soft tissue massage, lower limb injury assessments, and sports taping/strapping. As an instructor within both the Prime Pilates and Prime Strength teams, she tailors sessions to individual needs while also promoting injury prevention through group classes.
She also holds a qualification in Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football (ITMMiF), which she applies in her pitch-side work.
Tasha believes it’s a privilege to move your body. Whether overcoming injuries, improving performance, or preventing setbacks, she integrates clinical knowledge with her understanding of athletic development to help people achieve their goals.

- Soft tissue massage
- Lower limb injury assessment and rehabilitation
- Sports taping and strapping
- Pilates and strength instruction
- Pitch-side medical support (ITMMiF qualified)
Facts about Tasha:
- She grew up as a competitive netballer, which inspired her career path.
- She works clinically, pitch-side, and as part of the Prime Pilates and Prime Strength teams.
Aodha Hession
Physiotherapist CSP / HCPC
Originally from County Roscommon, Ireland, Aodha moved to the UK in 2022 to study Physiotherapy at the University of Gloucestershire, where he developed a strong passion for helping people recover, move, and perform at their best.
A lifelong sports enthusiast and former Ireland U18 international rugby player, Aodha has always been fascinated by the body’s ability to adapt and heal. This led him to specialise in musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy and rehabilitation, with a particular interest in knee injuries.
Aodha joined The Prime Practice in the summer of 2025 and works both pitchside and in the clinic, supporting clients of all ages and activity levels. He is currently completing a postgraduate degree in Research and Sport & Exercise Science at Hartpury University, where he works closely with the Gloucester Rugby team to further develop his clinical and rehabilitation skills. Aodha is delighted to be part of the team at The Prime Practice and is passionate about helping clients overcome injuries, achieve their goals, and get back to doing what they love.
James Dobson
Physiotherapist CSP / HCPC
James qualified as a Physiotherapist from Oxford Brookes University. He has a strong interest in injury prevention and strength and conditioning, with a focus on helping individuals build resilience and long-term physical health.
James is passionate about empowering and educating clients to take an active role in their recovery. He believes that understanding your body and your injury is key to achieving sustainable results, and he strives to give every client the tools and confidence to manage their own wellbeing beyond the clinic.
His favourite areas to treat are the knee and shoulder, having personally experienced injuries in both. This gives him valuable first-hand insight into the rehabilitation journey, from early recovery through to regaining full function and strength.
Outside of work, James is an active sports enthusiast. He enjoys playing touch rugby and regularly trains in the gym, where he loves experimenting with different movement patterns and exercise variations to challenge himself and enhance performance.
Alice King
Practice Administrator
Alice plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic. From welcoming patients and managing appointments to supporting the clinical team, she helps create an organised and welcoming environment for everyone who visits. With a strong background in customer service and administration, Alice takes pride in delivering exceptional service and keeping everything running efficiently behind the scenes. Her friendly, approachable nature and attention to detail make her an essential part of the team. Outside of work, Alice enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, and keeping active. She loves being part of a team that shares her commitment to health, wellbeing, and providing an outstanding client experience.
