Emily Owen

Emily graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2017 with a BSc (hons) degree in sports therapy. Upon leaving university Emily joined the society of sports therapists where she has since remained a member. She has also completed the UK anti-doping accredited advisor course.

Emily’s main focus and interest is that of Sports Massage and Pitch Side First Aid. She has been heavily involved in Rugby with a local team, and is now lead sports therapist for the men’s 1st and 2nd teams, the women’s team and the youth teams when required. Emily has worked at finals both at Hartpury and at Kingsholm.

Emily has a keen interest in sports competing both regionally and nationally in dance and cheerleading which has allowed her to gain first aid experience in a competition setting. Gaining experience in various sports has allowed Emily to adapt treatment to each individual client and to get them back to the sport they love to play and, most importantly, back to day to day life.
