Thomas Tidy

Tom is nearing the end of his Third year of study on the BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy course at the University of Gloucestershire. Tom has been gaining placement hours with The Prime Practice Throughout 2021/22 in many different clubs, covering a variety of sports.

Throughout his time at University, Tom has so far developed a comprehensive understanding of the Musculoskeletal system and has gained in depth knowledge on the diagnostic process of various different pathologies. He is also fully trained in Sports Massage and can offer a variety of different techniques in this field. He has gained plenty of Pitch-side experience in both youth and adult settings, covering football and rugby regularly. Tom works Closely with Shortwood United FC and Widden Old Boys RFC.

Tom is a keen footballer and has been playing it for 16 years. He also watched plenty of football growing up following FGR, Home and Away for a number of years. This vast exposure to the sport means that Tom is accustomed to the injuries that may present in the sport, and also knows full well how important making a full recovery from injury is!

Tom chose to study Sports Therapy because he wanted to gain a better understanding of the body and how it reacts to an injury, and the processes behind that, whilst also being able to help and accommodate people’s best interests as much as he can
